I found rock & roll and the guitar at an early age. Early influences came from 80s Metal, Classic Rock and Punk. I have been playing in bands since high school, and eventually received a bachelors in music, but never gave up rock & roll.

I come from Moline, Illinois my name is John Allen; I Play Bass. I’m the guy in the background just supplying the emotion. The movement of the song at its core. I come from a home broken by divorce. Music is what I had when other answers weren’t there. I worked through the divorce of my parents by playing the Bass. It creates a sound that you hear and feel. Of course, I’m older now, the relationship with both of my parents has stablized, and I feel things are looking good for my life.
I’m a carpenter by trade, and a Bass player at heart. A long time friend, introduced me to SixthDay. They needed a Bass player, and they got one. Being with SixthDay has been a wonderful experience ... and we kick ass. My ideas are taken seriously here. I feel I can open up and express what is really important to me. We’re all good friends, and that is why we kick so muc
h ass!

Growing up in the small desert community of Imperial (The Valley), Michael “Turtle” Sanders was surrounded by family that nurtured his interest in drums and percussion, starting lessons at the age of nine. While still in elementary school, he actively participated in the local high school marching band. Following the beat of his ever-widening interests, Turtle established roots in Jazz, and Percussion Ensemble. Pursuing a passion for Rock and Roll, Turtle started a rock band freshman year in high school. He later moved to San Diego with the above mentioned band and worked on various projects until setting down with SixthDay.

Out of the center of San Diego, Shaun dove into playing music straight out of high school in 1999. His love for playing guitar stemmed around the original 80's hard rock and heavy metal genre. After five years of practice, Shaun was introduced to the Power Metal and Symphonic metal games turning his skills towards more epic sounds of rhythm and solos. 8 years into the field, Shaun was then found by Sixth Day members, Rocco, Shane and John in 2006. Shaun is also an established Keyboard and Acoustic player.
